4 Days Adventures from Marrakech to Fez via Gorges & Desert

After meeting at your hotel in Marrakech, depart through the High Atlas through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, along a road that climbs from the plains up to 2260m above sea level passing through small villages. You can to make a stop on the pass for a cup of refreshing mint tea and admire the scenery before taking the road to the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. Here you can visit the famous Kasbah, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site and was the background of films like The Gladiator, Babel, Lawrence of Arabia, The Legionary and The Sheltering Sky. After a lunch break continue to Ouarzazate to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, the Atlas Studios for movies, the largest and most famous of all Africa. Continue through the famous Valley of Roses and the Dades valley, reaching the Dades Gorge in time for a sunset dinner and overnight. 

In the morning, after breakfast, you will take a walk through the Dades Gorges, and then take a car to drive the road of the 1000 Kasbas, going through Tineghier village and Historical Kasbahs arriving to the Todra Gorges in time for lunch. Take a walk in the Gorges before taking the road to the Merzouga desert by way of Erfoud arriving before sunset. From here you will have a hotel accomidations overnight and dinner with Saharan drums.

After breakfast visit the desert, passing through small villages, where you will stop to listen to some Saharan music in El Khamlia, the oasis. You will have a small visit to Rissani, the first capital of dynasty alouite, including some historical Kasbahs, and the the famous market. You will have the opportunity to test the local food of the area,  the Pizza Berber.  Head back to Merzouga and relax with a mint tea.  The guide and camels will be waiting to carry you across the sandy dunes of the Erg-Chebbi. Enjoy the beauty of the sunset on camel and after an hour you will reach to the desert camp to spend night in a Berber tent. At your desert shelter, your camels are hobbled and mint tea is served. After a wonderful dinner, watch the stars and enjoy your evening.

In the morning wake up early and take a walk over the sand dunes to watch the sunrise from just behind the Algerian border, which is about 50km from Merzouga. Take the camel back to the hotel and after shower and some relaxation, begin heading back to Fez through Ziz Valley, Berber villages, Middle Atlas Mountain and Cedars Forest. You will arrive to Fez in the afternoon were you will be returned to your accommodations.
